From the moment we met Alanah and Matt, we could sense the genuine warmth and friendliness that radiated from them. Their wedding day perfectly reflected their personalities—a laidback and relaxed celebration filled with love and laughter.
The morning of the wedding was split between the bride and groom, with Matthew getting ready at his parents’ home – the boys donned dapper black suits and shared some beers + nibbles together. Next we popped over to visit Alanah at their cute little apartment, where it was a flurry of makeup, hair, and heartfelt moments with her parents and sister.
Now it was time to get these two married! Alanah and Matt opted for a small and intimate wedding, surrounded by their closest friends and family at the gorgeous Mawarra Functions. Mother Nature graced us with a beautiful, sunny day—a pleasant surprise for winter’s end. The clear skies and warm sunlight added an extra layer of magic to the day.
The venue, Mawarra Functions, was a picturesque backdrop for their love story. After the ceremony we wandered the grounds and spent some time capturing stunning portraits, taking advantage of the cute architecture of the bluestone hall that dates back to 1877!
As day transitioned into evening, we seized the opportunity to walk to a nearby field for sunset portraits. The golden hues of the setting sun made for some of the most breathtaking and romantic photos of the day.
A candlelit, intimate reception in Mawarra’s bluestone hall was a highlight of the day. An amazing buffet dinner, heartfelt speeches and the yummiest wedding cake!
And then came the dancing—hours and hours of it. The dance floor was electric as Alanah, Matt, and their guests celebrated by dancing the night away!
