Donna and Tom’s wedding was a real life fairytale.

Set on a private farm property in the Adelaide hills at a rustic barn-style venue overlooking fruit orchards, with a beautiful brick outdoor area for their ceremony. Every little detail suited the two perfectly, from the soft hues of Donna’s florals, to their beautiful raw, vegan wedding cake (made by Becca Rose) – and while we’re talking about that cake – hands down my favourite wedding cake of all time and SO delicious! Donna and Tom planned games for their guests (check out how much the kids loved the paint-filled balloon and dart game!) and gifted individual honeypots as their guest favours – these were made by the farm’s property owners! They fed their guests wood fired pizza’s, and had a coffee cart arrive for hot beverages to keep them cosy and warm.

It’s inevitable not to mention that the weather wasn’t on it’s best behaviour that December day… with rain showers passing through and at one point raining heavily during the ceremony – guests quickly took cover in the barn before resuming their vowels in the intimate space with the rain falling softly through the windows.

For our portrait session we braved the rain and had our trusty clear umbrella’s with us to keep us dry during the showers. We explored the nearby orchards – with the sounds of guests laughing and enjoying the festivities floating through the air.

The evening was cosy and filled with love, guests cuddling up under blankets while listening to heart-felt and teary speeches, bellies filled with warm food and delicious sweet treats. Donna and Tom took their first dance as husband and wife under a canopy of fairy lights, and then Tom surprised Donna with a show all of his own… having his groomsmen carry him in on a wooden door while singing “My Heart Will Go On” and reenacting the Titanic! A dance party ensued, a bouquet was tossed, and Donna and Tom made their grand exit under an archway of sparklers. What a wedding!
